This project talks about dualism in society regarding the wound process.

The case of study in this project is the male circumcision process, which can be seen as a personal physical wound caused by cultural society since Indonesia is the largest Muslim country in the world. More than 30 million male children in Indonesia per year have conducted circumcision, resulting high amount of medical waste.

From a scientific perspective, preputium can be used as a source to isolate skin cells for further application in cell and tissue engineering, such as the development of skin tissue for skin grafting and the wound healing process. The transformation process of preputium into the new skin cells was documented along with facts about the impact of circumcision both towards the environment and also shaping the culture in society. The natural behavior of new skin cells isolated from preputium in response to the wound process and perform the natural collective healing process in the time-lapse video.

Keywords: Preputium, circumcision, collective healing, sustainability, tissue engineering.
